The Best is Yet to Come!

By Suzanne Corbo

After celebrating my 50th birthday with family, eight girlfriends and I flew to Paris for a long weekend to continue the celebration.

Our four days together were action-packed, and we made unforgettable memories that will last forever.

We stayed at Castille, an adorable boutique hotel on Rue Cambon which is right next door to the original Chanel store and across the street from The Ritz.  The location could not be more perfect for a bunch of shopaholics!

We began our trip with a champagne lunch at Monsieur Dior located in the Avenue Montaigne flagship store, followed by a tour of the new gallery and a private shopping experience.  The rest of our days included a lot more shopping eating, drinking, and being merry.  I highly recommend booking the shopping suite at La Samaritaine, a beautiful department store owned by LVMH which has the largest beauty department in Europe; request Gregoire to be your personal stylist.  Hair and makeup can also be arranged in the suite.  It is a lady's dream.

One of the weekend highlights was a private tour of the Veuve Clicquot cellar in Reims which has a great boutique with exclusive items.

Paris is always beautifully decorated during the holidays, but the city looks better now than ever in preparation for the Summer Olympics.

Everyone had a wonderful time and didn't want our trip to end. My heart was full the entire weekend, and I felt like the luckiest woman being surrounded by such wonderful friends.

Turning 50 has made me realize how fast the years are flying by, and I realize now more than ever the importance of spending time with those that truly fill your cup.

My advice to all of your fabulous ladies is to travel more and don't wait.  It is the best gift that you can give yourself and to those you love.

My friends and I enjoyed it so much that we have decided to plan an annual trip. www.corbocollection.com Corbo Collection /CorboCollection @corbocollection
